With its origins tracing back to its incorporation by Royal Charter by King Henry VIII on the 25th of August 1537.
With a history steeped in tradition, the HAC has evolved over the centuries, becoming a registered charity in 1964 to embrace a broader commitment to societal well-being. In a testament to its resilience and historical significance, the HAC has retained its identity as the oldest regiment in the British Army.
